Whether you love the Don or hate him, he’s just a blank screen. Your ego is what’s giving him life. Your ego-mind is busy judging him or worshipping him, creating an image for him, getting angry or fearful at him, assigning all your hope and happiness to him, etc. That’s how all relationships are, in fact! It’s just easier to see the pattern with celebrities.

The Work of Byron Katie is amazing at helping you cut through your projections! It helped me tremendously in my relationships for years. It’s very hard to see your own ego, as I’ve found out. I’ve been studying mine in depth for 3 years now and am still finding new sides and aspects to her! It’s quite shocking!

My Know Thy Ego worksheet is still in development, but the feedback I’ve gotten so far is that it would be easier for somebody else to fill it out for you. I’m also developing an exercise, a type of meditation based on A Course in Miracles, to see your ego more clearly.

Now that I’m clear on what my main ego patterns are and am watching out for them, I’m working on embodying Peace/Consciousness/Being/Source/God/Love—and being the change I want to see in the world—the change in consciousness. 

So if you’re unhappy with Donald Trump and/or the state of the world, look at your self—your false self. Mind your own ego! Shift from whatever you’re feeling—fear, anger, despondency, etc—to Peace. Find practices/activities that bring you Peace. That’s called minding your inner garden. We’re transforming the muddy egoic mess inside into a beautiful peaceful garden—back to the original Garden of Eden of wholeness and Unity.
