(This is a channeled post.)

We need to discuss how to remember what your true purpose is.

Your true purpose has to do with the connection within that we discussed the day before yesterday. It has to do with expressing that connection into the world.

When you remember how to find your connection to God/source/being, you must then allow it to shine forth into the world. You must embody it. You must act from there.

This can be a simple as being kind to other people throughout your day. The most important things are the small moments. You don’t have to completely change your life and start a nonprofit with a mission to change the world. That may be your purpose. However, the most important thing is to connect to your source within and act from there.

When you choose the next step, you have to make sure that it’s coming from that place of peace. When you’re just seeking to make an impact so that you can look good and feel good about yourself, that is not acting from the source/light within. That is still acting from ego. It’s just now an ego on a mission to save the world.

This is very hard for people to understand but the ego is very good at tricking you. The ego is very good at using things to its advantage. One of its favorite things to use is your enthusiasm. This can be your enthusiasm for a cause, your enthusiasm for spirituality, your enthusiasm for making a better world, etc. It’s great to have enthusiasm, but you have to watch out for your ego using that enthusiasm to make itself bigger and stronger. It’s very hard to see this in yourself.

We can’t ignore this, however. We have to understand the workings of our egos. We have to understand that when we are trying to prove ourselves or make ourselves special, we are not contributing to the world, we are contributing to our ego. And when you contribute to your individual ego, you also contribute to the collective ego. So when you look at your ego and diminish your ego, you also diminish the collective ego.
