(This is a channeled post.)

Today let’s talk about how to recover from trauma. This is very important because a lot of people have experienced trauma and they don’t know how to get over it.

When the physical body sees or experiences violence, whether it be words or physical violence, the body holds onto remnants of the violence. It’s like emotional scar tissue. We don’t know that we’re carrying it. But it is there in the layers of our psyche. We have to dig down to find it. It’s important that we do this with caution because these scars are like grenades. They can explode, which will reactivate the trauma.

This is why often we bury trauma deep inside our psyche. We don’t want to experience it again. But we also don’t realize that we are still carrying the scars. And they are affecting our behavior, no matter how deep within we’ve hidden them.

Sometimes the scars bubble up to the surface and they become quite obvious. This can be mental anguish like PTSD. Or you can experience secondary effects, where you get angry for no reason or sad for no reason. It’s very important to be kind to yourself and listen to your inner voice. Listen to the voice of the pain with compassion. Don’t allow the voice of the pain to take over.

When you remember your trauma, you will seek to forget it. But when you repress the pain, it always comes back up. It can come up in many ways, including as physical illness.

This is a very in-depth topic. We are going to talk about this more later. But for now, please understand that pain is contained within life. Everything is contained within life.

These things that feel so real are contained within the whole of life. But many things can be offered to life, to love, to God. You don’t have to wait for them to come up. You can offer them back to life/God/source/love. When you offer them back to the source from which they came, they dissolve into the whole. They dissolve into the whole of life. You don’t have to carry them around as a separate self with a separate body. You can give your pain and your trauma back to life. You can offer it back. You can offer it back with this mantra:

Please take this and transform it into love.
