Know Thy Ego – learn to recognize your ego. Fill out the Know Thy Ego worksheet —be as honest with yourself as possible!—then have friend/family member finish it for you. Current draft below: (FYI, the worksheet is a work in progress—it’s a little long, I know. I’m open to feedback.)

Watch Thy Ego – this is a constant practice of awareness.

Question Thy Ego, including any thoughts, emotions, roles, beliefs you’re identified with. Start with whatever is causing you stress/suffering. Investigate it. Investigate all resistance. Investigate all fear. Is there fear present in me? Where is it coming from? What thoughts or beliefs are causing it? This practice especially requires a commitment to Truth.

Be Thy Self (with a capital “S”)- Notice what’s there behind/underneath the ego. What is always present? Find your presence, your essence, your connection to God/Source/Being and stay plugged in. Always keep your “device” charging!
