Mine is a romantic fantasy and general happy-ending movie director! But a lot of my friends’ egos seem to be dark twisted sci-fi/spy thriller movie directors. Their movies are full of conspiracies and intrigue and people/entities out to get them. “We” (our false selves, which are projections of our ego-minds) are always the protagonists of these 3D mind-movies.
A friend of mine was telling me about her South American ex-boyfriend one day. She said they still keep in touch and all of his recent relationships have been full of drama and manipulation. And his mother is always one of the main characters in it, the most manipulative of them all! I said, “It sounds like a telenovela*. His ego is a telenovela director!” She laughed and agreed.
Some people I know even seem to live in horror movies! (And I’m talking about people who live in this beautiful tropical paradise, Maui, Hawaii, with me, not in the Middle East, Ukraine, etc!) Their lives are full of perceived attacks from dark forces.
Even if you do live in a war zone, you can still find God/Source/Being/Consciousness/Love and, more importantly, stay connected to God/Source/Being/Consciousness/Love and rest in peace while you’re still alive. Practicing forgiveness is a great way to rest in peace. Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculee Ilibagiza, as described in her book Left to Tell, is a prime example of this.
True forgiveness is seeing there’s nothing to forgive because the perpetrators were in an unconscious state. Unconsciousness isn’t personal. It’s just unconscious. “Forgive them for they know not what they do,” said Jesus. Of course, war is a WHOLE other subject. That’s collective egos/pain-bodies interacting with each other. In Ego Rehab we’re focusing on the individual ego/pain-body. Dissolving the collective starts with the individual anyway. But I digress…
What kind of movie director is your ego?
You can even name a specific director or character or movie/show. A friend of mine said his ego is like Kramer from Seinfeld. I replied, “Actually, your ego is more like ALL the characters from Seinfeld, all those heads on one body!” 🤣🤣🤣
Like I said, my ego is a romantic fantasy movie director, but the ending always turns out more like a European art film! 😭😂 Actually, I was feeling kind of like I was stuck in a British period drama for quite a few years. Now it’s more like The Wizard of Oz — my ego is the wizard, the witches, and probably all the other characters too! 😉 Life is always testing us. “There’s no place like home!” I’m resting in peace 😇
