“Where have you been?” somebody asked me the other day on my old Facebook page.

Hmm… where have I been?!? Let me take a moment to try to summarize the last 20 years (‼️) of my life:

After my flight attendant career ended abruptly in 2004 (at age 29) and my ego tried to ride the waves of publicity for as long as possible, things settled down in my life. I settled down, spent years trying to have a child with no luck (I was in denial on many levels—it turns out fantasy and denial are my ego’s main disguises!) Then I spent more time trying to figure out what to do with my life. (Poof!💨 30s gone!) All I knew was that I wanted a BIG change!

In 2016, I ended up in Hawaii on the beautiful island of Maui. It was a rough few first years because I was managing a big construction and renovation project mostly by myself. Actually, it’s been MANY rough years of emotional turmoil here. Maui likes to test you! Eckhart Tolle (author of The Power of Now and A New Earth) says suffering is the great awakener, btw.

Speaking of Eckhart, I’ve been blessed to attend two of his retreats in person in the past couple of years, and am doing virtual retreats with him this year. I’ve gotten really deep into my spiritual studies. Meanwhile, that huge transition in a woman’s life, menopause, has happened, as well as an amicable break up with my partner of almost 20 years. 🦋

I have a great life on Maui now, I feel really blessed to live here! Yesterday I hiked a trail to a beautiful bay on the North Shore with a friend. Today I hiked to a neighborhood waterfall. I get to swim in the ocean year round. It’s a wonderful lifestyle, but, as I said, Maui likes to test you. Paradise comes at a price! More about that in the book I’m writing (also titled Ego Rehab).

I’m turning 50 in December, I can’t believe it! I don’t feel that old! Well, of course my Being is timeless. 🕰️🚫🌟

About Ego Rehab:

I started studying my ego very closely 2 years ago during some tough emotional times and that’s how I realized I was an egoholic—my ego—my thoughts and emotions and conditioned patterns—were running my life! So I decided to check myself into Ego Rehab. Ego Rehab is now a website/blog (hopefully in the future also a social network), a meetup/support group on Maui—with all of 3 members at present 😂 (soon to be virtual also), and a book manuscript. Anyone who wants to get over their self (their false self) and rest in peace while they’re still alive, is welcome to join me here! 🕊️🌈🙏

So, in summary, for the past 20 years (actually my whole life), “I” have been confused and suffering while pursuing ego gratification and generally trying to impose my will onto Life (sound familiar?!), but in the end Life/God/Consciousness has shown me that there is only one Will, only one Path, only One! “I” am not the “I” I thought I was.☝️✨🥰1️⃣ 🙌

Now, where have “you” been?
